SUMMARY:League match V Stortford AC
DESCRIPTION:Adult recurve archers and junior archers of all bow types\n\nFo
 r our final summer league match\, adults (recurve archers only) and junior
 s (all bow types) each have a match against Stortford AC\, to be shot at t
 heir ground (St Mary's Catholic School\, Windhill Road\, Bishops Stortford
  CM23 2NQ) on Sunday 24th September. It will probably be an afternoon fixt
 ure\, but details will be confirmed nearer the time. We need at least five
  adult participants and three junior participants to make up the respectiv
 e teams.\n\nBarebow\n\nSeptember's Barebow fixture is postal and is agains
 t Elswood 'A'\, so Barebow archers wishing to take part should ensure that
  they submit at least one Short Metric score during the month of September
 . They are more than welcome to shoot such a round with the adult recurve 
 and junior archers at Stortford on 24th September. We need at least two sc
 ores to be submitted in order to make up a team.\n\nCompound\n\n\nThe Sept
 ember Compound fixture is postal and is against Abbey Bowmen\, so Compound
  archers wishing to take part should ensure that they submit at least one 
 Short Metric score during the month of September. They are more than welco
 me to shoot such a round with the recurve and junior archers at Stortford 
 on 24th September. We need at least two scores to be submitted in order to

 eague matches is a 'Short Metric' of 72 arrows split into two different di
 stances of 36 arrows each\, on an 80cm target face. The round you shoot de
 pends on your age group as follows:\n\n\n\n\n\nMen (inc 50+)\nShort Metric

 is year.\n\nArchers may choose to shoot outside their age category\, but s
 hooting below your age group will mean that your score cannot be counted
  towards the match score.\n\nNew archers - there's nothing stopping you sh
 ooting in these matches\, but if you are not confident about reaching the 
 distances required by your age group\, just ask to shoot a round below you
 r age group and just enjoy the day as practice. This applies to both home 
 and away matches.\n\nBook in the normal way
